Congrats to Comcast
Since most of the forum entries are complaints, I thought I would give an example of good service by Comcast.
The past couple of weeks, I was losing some TV channels and my typical 900 Mbps internet download speed had fallen to about 50 Mbps. So obviously, something was wrong. Rather than telephone Comcast which results in them resetting your devices and you having to call them a second time and plead with them to send a technician in four days, I tried going to the Xfinity app Sunday at 4:00 pm and selecting "troubleshooting." It immediately said that something was amiss and scheduled a technician appointment for the following morning, no questions asked.
The technician came Monday morning as promised, took one look at the diagnostics on his phone and proclaimed that I needed a new underground line from the street to my house. He ran a temporary line and put a new splitter and a new connection box on the side of my house. On Thursday, the utility marking people came to mark my lawn and the following Monday, the Comcast contractors came and buried a new line in conduit, one day ahead of the schedule e-mailed to me by Comcast.
That is how customer service should be done. Congrats and thank you.
