Testing the speed to gateway option has gone

There used to be a tile in the app offering this, but now it has gone.  One tech says it's due to changing modem, other tech says that's not true.  Anyone know how to do it?

And don't say

How to test Speed to Gateway

  1. Sign in to the Xfinity app with your Xfinity ID and password.
  2. Select WiFi from the bottom of the app.
  3. Select Troubleshoot.
  4. Tap Test your whole home network.
  5. From here, the app will test both the speed to your gateway and to the devices you’re using to access xFi.

because that option ain't there.

Good afternoon @2OrMoreCharacte and thank you for reaching back out to our Communities team on our Forums, we appreciate it. Our XFINITY app does still come with the testing speed to gateway option with compatible Xfinity Gateways (excludes DPC3939 and X5001 models). I see that you stated you recently changed your modem. To confirm, what model are you currently using? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app as well?

It's a CGM4981Com, so XB8.

The options I get in wifi/troubleshoot are: get help with your network (ie talk with the chatbot); test speed to this device; restart your modem.

Deleted and reinstalled the app, rebooted the phone, power cycled the gateway, all the usual steps.

Thank you for letting us know it's an XB8 @2OrMoreCharacte and that you tried deleting and reinstalling the app, rebooting the phone and power cycling the gateway. To confirm, do you see the 'Test your whole home network.' option in the troubleshooting options?

2OrMoreCharacte Have you went through the second options process? Ibelievee it tests both the speed to the device and gateway.

It tests the speed to the device only.
