Is there a way to check data usage by device?

We’ve exceeded our TB/month for 4 month straight now. Since the first time it happen it made sense because we had 10 devices connected but we cut everything off & now we only have 3(2 TVs & a computer which we rarely use) & we still exceed the TB/month by worst then before.

Hello @user_02cb6e, thank you for reaching out for help with your data plan. Aside from seeing your total monthly usage. with Xfinity xFi, you can set up user profiles and assign devices to specific users. If you follow this link: Managing Profiles with Xfinity xFi - Xfinity Support, you can see how to create, manage, and assign devices to specific users.

You can then monitor each user's total data consumption to better narrow down who and what devices could be using the extra data.

Hello, @user_d2f96e! Thank you for participating in our Community! We are happy to assist! You can check the data usage per device with our amazing Xfinity xFi app. Do you rent our modem?

I'm having the same problem.  All of a sudden our data usage more than doubled and went above our 1.2TB limit.  However, neither the app or going directly to the router shows the amount of data used per device.  Why would you remove helpful info?

@Xfinity Support Could we please get an answer to these questions?  To be clear, the questions are as follows:

1. Why are we all of a sudden going over the data limits of our plans when we haven't changed our internet usage behavior?

2. How can we view data usage per device?  Seriously, if you removed that functionality from the app, either put it back or provide it elsewhere and tell us where.  That's an important management tool that factors heavily into the value of the service we are paying you for.

Thank You,

Hello, @user_a4b8c3. I hope you're having an amazing day. The first question has more than one answer due to the various reasons as to what can cause your daily/monthly data usage to increase. We can help you by showing you how to avoid using too much data.

Just in case you didn't know, you can manage the devices connected to your WiFi on the My Account app. This way you remove any unused equipment that may still be connected to your WiFi signal.

To answer your second question, you may only see specific device usage if you have one of our xFi gateways. If you go to https://comca.st/33U1Iy7 for your account, you can scroll to the bottom and you'll see a graph. You can then look at individual devices and see for that device.

[Edited: "Language"] that the only way you can see your Internet usage by device is to use xFi gateways! Sounds like a trap to me! I am seeing massive internet data MONTHLY usage as well and nothing has changed!!! Scam!! New Internet company installing in town - may be a need for a change of service!!
