How can I disable the xfinity push notifications that are just advertisements.

I use the xfinity app for notifications when I have a new bill. I don't appreciate the spam push notifications. I checked the privacy center and notification settings in the app but found no way to disable this spam.

user_823hna Hello and thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Community Forums. I am so sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with unwanted notifications. I can certainly help you with this. It's frustrating to get spam when all you want is to be alerted about important things like your bill. You're right, the setting can be tricky to find. The good news is you can disable those promotional notifications without turning off your bill alerts. They are controlled by a separate setting within the app.

Here is the most direct way to stop the promotional push notifications:

  1. Open the Xfinity app on your phone.

  2. Tap the Account icon in the bottom right corner.

  3. Under the "Settings" section, tap on Notifications.

  4. You should see different categories of notifications. Look for an option that says something like "Marketing & Promotional" or just "Marketing."

  5. Toggle this option off.

This will stop all promotional and marketing push notifications while still allowing you to receive alerts about your bill, service outages, or other important account information.

If you don't see this specific option or if it's already turned off, the only other way to stop notifications is through your phone's operating system. However, doing this would turn off all notifications from the Xfinity app, including bill alerts. Please let me know if you were able to find the setting and turn it off.

user_823hna You're on the right path! Once you select "Account settings", the next screen should list "Notification settings" underneath your name. Once selected, you should see options for email, text, and push notifications under "Notification Types".

The only options under "Account Settings" > "Notification Settings" > "Push Notifications" is the following:

1. "Network Access"

2. "Network Activity"

There is no "Marketing." option anywhere. I got a call of duty push notification from you guys and I wan't it to stop.

@XfinitySean Under my name in account settings is "Xfinity ID and security" (which does not contain notification settings). Below that is account details which also doesn't contain a "notification settings".

I am having the same issue. This is for the "Xfinity" app to manage home network. There is no option to manage advertisement push notifications.

I have tried all the steps outlined in this thread. If you will look, two separate users have stated the same problem with the stated fix:
There is NO OPTION under the notifications choices to turn off MARKETING.

You have 2 choices:

1. "Network Access"

2. "Network Activity"

I don't want to be marketed to about your phone service, or games, or service upgrades in the Xfinity Stream App. So, fix the App so I can turn Marketing off. It's really that simple.

All other settings in my online account have been set to "OFF" for any marketing, but all instructions for turning it off in the App are referred back to the same inaccurate steps that have been outlined by XfinityCristi and XfinitySean.

@XfinityJorge

I went to the browser Notifications page (first image) and the only options there are to edit notifications for text or email. No option for Marketing Push notifications in the app. The Marketing Push notifications are burying actual notifications I need to see. I would appreciate if Xfinity, who raised prices on everything, would stop forcing marketing in its users and make it accessible to toggle off. Can someone at Xfinity provide a solution that isn’t reiterating what I and others have tried and cannot be applied? This is making anything Xfinity has to offer that much more unappealing.

I've just gone through the same process. There is no way I can find to turn off the marketing push notifications other than to turn off *all* push notifications from the Xfinity app at the OS level. That disables security notifications as well. I have disabled every Marketing category on the website, but it only applies to email and text. Xfinity is still sending push notifications via the app, despite my choices.

Exactly. Even if signed in, unsubscribing from mail and texts is pretty laborsome because all the phone numbers and addresses still have to be entered by hand, and it doesn't apply to push notifications. There is no way to turn them off other than disabling all notifications from the app through the phone settings.

I just got a notification to watch a commercial.  You gotta stop this or give us an option to opt out.  There is no notifications setting in the xfinity app, as other people have said.

The top search result to turn off Xfinity advertising push notifications is this page from September 2025. It is now February 2026. It's very apparent that multiple user's are complaining of this issue and have provided evidence that the "fix" that is suggested does not exist. Instead of simply apologizing and saying there is no option and that they might work on it, Xfinity support is in here asking to confirm the "fix" was attempted and then providing no follow through once evidence is shown. I do not want your advertising spam to bother me, I am already plenty bothered by all the other things this company is pushing. Stop asking if I want a streaming box to sell my information and stop asking if I want another streaming service. I just want internet, with no advertising from the provider that I'm already paying money to. Not to mention that you try to increase my rate at the end of every term. I will be looking at Spectrum once this contract is over.
