factory reset router all old devices still showing up as connected in app so i can't manage anything

tried resetting router, logging in and out and deleting the app. i factory reset the router trying to connect everything one by one so i can manage them but it's still showing everything that used to be connected as currently connected. i only have 1 device connected and it's showing 9. i can't forget any of the devices because it shows them all as connected when nothing is.

I don’t know about the OP, but if I had written that post describing that issue, I would have told XfinityPeterH that his suggested article was irrelevant to the actual problem, that being that OP’s gateway did not actually reset to factory settings if it’s allowing devices to connect to the old network. It just explains how to manage devices that have connected rather than explaining WHY they’re still connecting after a “factory reset,” or rather, why the gateway is recognizing them at all.
