Devices are paused but still connecting

I use the downtime settings to control when my son's wifi shuts off when doing school work or bedtime.  However, when I pause it, he can still access the internet.  In fact, I am typing this message on his computer, that is paused on my app, shows it is paused, but it still connects to the wifi and works just fine.

Can you send us a direct message with your first and last name and address to get started?

I am also having this issue.  I have tried restarting the router, and restarting the computers.  Nothing has worked.

I also have this issue,

Result: Multiple devices are being shut on and off intermittently without discretion, causing significant disruptions in internet service.

We Have: Reached out to Xfinity, the phone rep said they needed to talk to the supervisor, however did not resolve the intermittency.

Power cycled the router and changed the router password.

On each device, disconnect, then reconnect, and submit new password.

Now 1 device connects semi-reliably however that device still experiences intermittent interruptions resulting in not being able to watch a video.

Other devices connect to the Wifi, however prompt a captive screen that says, THIS DEVICE IS PAUSED.

On our XFI app, we can see the devices in various states of paused and un-paused and we do not pause any of our devices. Our XFI app on a new iphone13 doesn't show any devices at all, the app on my 8 year old android shows all devices that have been connected.

A XFI rep on the phone said they would send a new router, but maybe this situation has an internal cause and effect?

I see multiple reports in the forums, have you guys regrouped regarding this issue to present a more complete resolution?

Seems likely out of a single persons control, and maybe the new router will solve the issue. But we have never experienced disruptions with comcast, seems coincidental that its getting upset now.

@YukiInfinity Thank you for reaching out and brining this to our attention. I can understand how this is frustrating. I would make sure that you have the most up to date version of the app. Also if we are sending you a new modem please let us know if that helped correct the issue.

I no longer work for Comcast.
