Cannot rename device if default name is > 32 characters

I have two Amazon firesticks on my home network. When I try to rename them in Xfinity app I get a "something went wrong" error. The default device names are > 32 characters which is the limit imposed when naming a device. I try to shorten name and save and error occurs. Other devices where name < 33 characters I can rename. Any suggestions how I can rename devices with long default names?

Yes. Still have the problem.

I deleted and reinstalled the app. I still am unable to change those device names.

I'm getting this same issue on both my phone and tablet.

Any other ideas?

@Shermo_6 Have you tried to remove the device and then reconnect?
