App says “something went wrong”

I went into an Xfinity store today about another issue with my service. They changed something on my account and all of a sudden I get a “something went wrong” error message. After uninstalling and re-installing, I can get to the login screen and enter my credentials, then EVERY time I get the same error message: "Something went wrong - There's been an unexpected error, please try again." One I reach this point, no further action can be taken. If I close and re-open the app, it brings me back to this message. The only way to get to the login screen again is to uninstall and re-install. I've tried every troubleshooting suggestion I've found. They had no idea how to fix it. And now I have no control over my internet. How do I fix this?!?!

I’m having the exact same issue after changing part of my plan. It’s been about a week now and have found zero fixes or support from any real people.

I called the main customer service number and just insisted on them opening a support ticket, which they finally did. Was told it would be fixed in an hour. Of course it wasn’t. But they send you a text to reply to with Y or N if they solved your problem. Texted N and got a call from a tech in about 10 minutes. Apparently something happened when I went to the store and they took the pro off my account, so that locked me out of the app. They reconfigured my modem and then I deleted and reinstalled the app and it finally worked. Don’t know exactly what they reconfigured but whatever they did worked. Hope this helps. Good luck!
