You deleted some of my DVR recordings

I went to watch some DVR recordings of Tour of Duty and they're gone. I had a group of maybe 8 or more and only 1, the oldest shows in the list. I looked at the recently deleted and none of them show there either. It showed 30 recently deleted programs so I deleted some of them thinking maybe next time I came in the missing ones would show but no luck.

What's going on? I'm nowhere near maxed out and there's many older recordings in there.

Can you restore them for me?

What the heck is going on?????? I recorded tonights episode of Tour of Duty and you deleted the only one of the group that was left but it was the first episode I recorded of it??

Am I now only allowed to have 1 episode of this show saved on my DVR and you decide which one it is?

Maybe you're trying to help me decide keeping Comcast with my agreement comming up end of the year and you already jacked up my bill outside the agreed amount. What's wrong with you people????

this same kind of thing happened to me recently. stuff I knew was on my DVR was vanishing. after doing a system refresh (not sure of the exact name, but it's the next step after a reset) most of the stuff came back. not all. but stuff stopped vanishing.

Thanks for your reply!!

I have all my recordings set to save until running out of space and I have plenty left.

What's strange is I had a group of that show's recordings but when it got deleted one was left so it wasn't an accident the group was deleted. Each one had to be deleted one by one.  I wonder if there's a bug in their system if I delete a few recordings I'm done with it deletes others as well but then why didn't any show up in the deleted section?

Can they be put back?

You are having the same issue as many other people on this forum.  We are apparently "sharing" a box/cloud with someone else (some in other states).  I was told my issue was resolved - um nope nope nope.  Now whomever I am sharing my "space" with is renting movies and adding premium channels.  I have already been billed for one of them.  I  am so angry and frustrated with Xfinity/Comcast.  They charge so much and can't resolve an issue that has been going on for MONTHS.  I am about ready to begin sending them  a monthly bill for my time - I am tired of wasting it trying to get  this situation resolved.  My advice  - document everything take photos of shows scheduled, deleted, etc., and if you do a  chat keep a copy.

WoW, a known problem and I don't even get a response from them. They could at least put what they took away back. It could be a year til those episodes come back on again. They're not in on-demand. When you pay extra for a DVR, you expect your recordings to stay on the hardrive not have them give access to others somehow. Thanks for the info.

Oh just wait until they start billing you for rental movies that you didn't rent or watch.  I got one today for $19.99 and was told since I watched more than 10 minutes of it they couldn't give me a refund.  My head was about to explode (and my temper did).  I explained for the thousandth time that I am "sharing" a box with a phantom person (not by my choice but rather because Xfinity has messed up the system and apparenlty has no clue how to fix it).  After being hung up on during a call transfer, spending over 3 hours of my time on the phone with them the representative agreed to give me a "one time courtesy" refund.  This just makes me blalistic when they act like they are doing me a favor.  They messed up the system but I am supposed to be grateful for receiving a refund for something that should never have been on my bill in the first place since I did not order, rent, or watch the movie.  Of course there is no way to prove this since again I am sharing a box with a phantom person somewhere in the universe.  I feel like I should start sending Xfinity a bill for my time seeing as how I have to spend 50% of my day trying to resolve their messed up system.  Just wait - your problems are only going to get worse.  And they wonder why people are "cutting the cord" and dropping cable.  But not to worry, I am a "valued customer."  Yea right.  I am valued because I pay my bill every month.  And Xfinity is definitely good at knowing how to send out bills.  The one thing they actually can do correctly.  Sorry for my rant - I am just still so angry at being billed for something I did not order.  You should begin documenting everything with photos, videos, chats, etc.

Hi @MB58, Sorry you're no longer able to access the recorded episodes of Tour of Duty. This series is no longer available on Demand and can only be viewed when it airs on live TV. Unfortunately, we can't restore these episodes. The content available On Demand is provided to us by the networks. The programming availability, pricing, and broadcast are subject to their discretion. Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist with. For others who have reported issues with recordings, if you haven't already, please create your own post with details of the affected recordings and shows, and a member of my team will reply at our earliest convenience. Because MB58 is the original poster, and we've confirmed the cause of this issue, this thread will now be locked.
