XRE-00250 error on swapped box.
We just had to replace our old box with a new one (obtained in person from the store in Westford, MA) because the HDMI port got fried on the other one by a gigantic bolt of lightning that hit close to our house last week. The problem is, we get the new one home, go through the setup process and it ends with the "This device needs to be activated before we can continue" XRE-00250 error message. We:
1. Already called a tech about this. They sent multiple activation signals to it, it didn't help.
2. Have our account paid up. There are no overdue balances.
3. Have hit "Try again" multiple times and also tried rebooting multiple times.
Currently, we have a tech coming out on Saturday to fix this, but I'd like to hear if there's something I'm missing here that can help get this thing working.

you are going to have to go to https://www.xfinity.com/support/contact-us/ and pick a method to contact Comcast so the issue preventing use can be fixed.

Yeah, we already did that. We have a tech coming out this weekend to look at it. I was hoping there was something else you guys could suggest but I guess not.
