XR15 remote voice control not working

My XR15 remote voice control button stopped working. When the button is pressed the screen says "something's not quite right" then changes to "voice commands aren't working right now. Please try again shortly". I have tried to perform a factory reset (Press and hold the A (triangle) and D (diamond) buttons at the same time then hit 9-8-1) and it did not fix the problem.

Hi! Thank you for your message about the remote not working for you. I understand how important it is to have a working remote and when this happen to me I was bummed out also but no worries we can always get you a new remote free of course shipped to you or you are more than welcome to pick one up. Which option will work better for you?

@XfinityMiguel​ replaced the XR15 remote due to the stated problem above. When I press Xfinity and info all I get is red light and then flashing green light and no voice control and no images with numbers on the TV screen. At one point in time a three-digit response showed up on one of the other TVs. This TV has the DVR hooked to it. Rebooted it to no avail.

Thanks for sharing your experience, @JAMESMKERNS. It sounds like you just need to pair your remote again. 

 

Pair the XR15 Remote to a TV

While the TV is on, press and hold the Xfinity and Mute buttons on the remote together for five seconds until the remote light at the top changes from red to green

 

After that, the code should appear for you to enter.
