XR15 Remote Turns on Zone 2 of Denon AVR

When I pair XG1v4 DVR to my X3800H, the remote powers up the main zone and zone 2, but it only powers down the main zone, leaving zone 2 on.  No good!  Seems like the power on command is the one for all zones. 

With the older XR11 remotes, there are 13 codes that can be used with a Denon, but the XR15 doesn't have alternatives.  If you say it works, that's the end.   And if you say it doesn't work with the Denon, that's the end, too.  

Is there any way to try other codes with an XR15?  The zone 2 issue makes pairing with my AVR unusable.

Hello @BIslander. Our XR15 remotes can only be programmed to one unit at a time. The second zone may have the same functionality as the main, but it seems as though when powering down, the second zone may use a different code.

There's only one unit, a Denon AVR-X3800H.  That receiver has a second zone for functions like putting a separate pair of speakers in another room.  A poster in the Denon Facebook group says that one of the Denon code sets on the XR11 sends a power on command that only does the main zone, not zone 2.  So, I'm asking whether there's a way with the XR15 to access other Denon code sets beyond just the one you get when you say you have a Denon AVR.

Denon support documents show there are different power commands for all zones, just the main zone, or just zone 2.  I'm hoping you can send a main zone only command which seems to be the case with one of the code sets available on the XR11.

Thanks.  Looks like I am good now.  Code 32516 turns on the main zone, but no Zone 2, and I get improved volume control over using HDMI-CEC from my LG OLED TV.
