XR15 Remote "RUNAWAY" volume

I press the volume ONCE, but the volume continues up or down continuously.
Does anyone know the cause and the fix?

How?  There is no "setup" key on the X15.

I seem to remember this happening before, and I didn't need to replace the remote.  I can't remember what I did to fix the issue, though.

FWIW, from your link to the XR15 features;

There is no Setup button. It has been removed in favor of automatic RF pairing with the TV Box. You can continue to pair the X1 Voice Remote with the TV Box or programs for control of the TV or AV receiver.

@Tomkat53

For a code search hold A and D then press 991, press channel up until the TV turns on or off then press ok to confirm

Check your tv or component settings regarding remote repeating.  Samsung added a setting recently and increasing the repeat number eliminated the same problem with me.

I have the same issue when using the x1 remote to control my Bose sound bar. Did you ever find a fix ?

I went through all the different codes for my Samsung TV. All the codes worked, but the third choice solved the issue with the volume skipping numbers.

I am having the same problem.

My XR15 remote worked fine with my TV until sunday when comcast replaced my box. Now I have the run away volume going up and down.

It used to move one number at a time and now its uncontrollable and moves approximately 10 numbers at a time, up or down?

very annoying...

I will try what people mentioned in this thread and report back.

thank you

On my XR15 remote I tried the 991 code from above post but that code must be for a specific tv.

I googled Mitsubishi TV codes for comcast remote and found this site

https://www.eliztech.com/remotes/codelists/mitsubishi-tv-codes-for-comcast

I then pressed A&D buttons until the light turned green, I then tried my first code from the list on the website 11250, then pressed channel UP and it fixed my runaway volume on the first try..

This was also happening to me - no matter what code I used to set it up manually. I instead used the 'pair remote' feature through the X1 box and followed the instructions on my TV. Volume works as expected now! Hope that helps.
