XR15 Remote = Bad
The XR 15 remote is terrible. Difficult to push the low profile buttons. It looks nicer than the XR11 but form FOLLOWS function. Why the deciders thought making the basic operating ability more difficult is beyond me. I’ll venture to guess they thought, “customers will just use voice commands!” Give us back the XR11 design with upgraded 4K software and make a gazillion of us happy.

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us with your feedback regarding the XR 15 remote. Can you tell me a bit more about your difficulties with the remote? I have them for all of my devices and love the functionality. The ability to use the Xfinity button to access my saved programming is one of my favorite options as well as the Voice control? I hate to hear that you are having issues and we truly appreciate all of the feedback. I would love to ensure that it properly gets forwarded and the more details we have the easier it is for me to forward this feedback and recommendations for you.

I second the opinion that the XR15 remote navigation buttons are impossible to click. they don't budge unless you are pressing them hard.
Is there a better remote that works with XG2v2-P settop box ??

I couldn’t agree more. I’m forming a callous on my thumb from pressing the buttons so hard. Some click easier but most do not!

Agree. I just got a 4k DVR box and the XR15 remote is terrible. My older version of the XR15 has nice middle nav buttons, this new version has buttons with no tactile feedback and are very hard to press. The new remote is XR15 v2-RQ vs my older better XR15-UQ
will switch back to the old remote.

I completely agree. I just switched back to Xfinity TV and was given the XR-15 remote. At first I thought I was doing something wrong since it was so hard to push the low profile buttons. Navigating with these buttons wore my thumbs out. I'm going back to Xfinity to get a different remote. The X-11 looks good. The X-16 is sleek...BUT...not having a number pad looks like an inconvenience.

I just changed from Dish to xfinity and agree the XR15 remote is the worst I have ever used. The low profile buttons are hard to use. The sharp corners are rough on the hands and keep palms raw. The Fast forward function is poor and does not allow to fast forward 30 sec at a time like Dish remote that allows you to fast forward through commercials. The power button is too small. You have to use the voice control to go to recordings. Dish provides an option to purchase a bright color cover for their remote that allows you to fine the remote easy.

Strongly agree. The XR15 is a terrible remote. Yes it supports the functions... but the button design and lack of tactile or audio feedback makes it really hard to know if either I didn't push the button hard enough... or the cable box is just lagging as usual. I can't tell you how many times I have had to start over again trying to get to an on-demand or app because the remote is so stiff and unresponsive. Yes there is voice control... but that only works if you are looking for something specific. It isn't very useful for browsing.

Our XR-15 remote “rubber film” buttons failed within the first six months. Having to make an appointment for an exchange is a big hassle

We went to our local xfinity store and asked for the XR11 remote and they asked how many we wanted. We now have one for each of our TVs. We were told by the manager of our local store that the XR15 remotes are NOT ADA compliant and you can always get an XR11 if you ask for them.
