XR11 or XR15 Volume control stopped working!

I have my A/V reciever in the basement with the TV above it in the living room. Never had a problem controling it through the floor till a few weeks ago.

Now all of a sudden the remotes volume control won't work through the floor, (every other command works) but if I go in the basement with them they will control the volume on my Yamaha Rec.

Only thing I can figure is Xfinity did an udate and caused this.

Any help apreciated
