xid-p
apologize if this has been answered somewhere but I couldn't find a solution...
Got a new xid-p box to replace my old one. the old cable adapter box had an optical port that went straight to my receiver and that's how I run audio. Trying to figure out how to get audio back. the person I called at Xfinity said just run the HDMI through your tv and it will work. It won't. Maybe I have an old setup.
Can I get a converter to run something from the new xid-p box to my receiver? My TV is built-in and so difficult to get to...
Help appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, Anon196755. I'm happy that you've gotten your questions answered already, that's great! What I can do now is step in and set you up with a self installation for the XG2 box. If we do it that way, there is a $15 shipping fee. Otherwise, it's free if you pick it up from the Comcast store. It's completely up to you though on whichever option works best for you. If you'd like me to go ahead and set you up for the shipment, please continue with sending me a private message with your name so we can get started.
To send a private message, please click my name "ComcastMorgan" then select "Send a Message" on the right side.
Thanks!
