XiD-P, customer wifi gateway, no coax

I have a X1 DVR, and an XiD-P satellite box. There's no coax connected on the back of the XiD-P box.

I'm using a customer owned cable modem gateway.

The satellite box isn't connecting, never asks for wifi SSID, etc. Support swears this setup should work.

What say you all?

XiD is not a WiFi device , you need to connect the coax cable to the XiD in order for it to work with the DVR hub.

@ComcastChad2 as an official employee, please reach out to Rose at the Philippines call center and Kyle at the Valparaiso Comcast storefront and share that little piece of news.

Interestingly, it worked fine with an xFi gateway installed. So I think you may not be completely right.

@Jeppedy The XiD box is not a WiFi box, it's a coax-connected box that communicates with your installed (main) DVR box.
