XiD-P cable box RF Output Channel 3/4 change

I recently "upgraded" to X1 capable boxes for all my TVs and the RF (coax) output seems to be always on Channel 3.  My previous (non-X1) boxes allowed me to set the RF output to Channel 4 and the picture was always clear.  I must be able to use Channel 4 as there is a local over-the-air broadcast station (KYW-Philadelphia) in my area that broadcasts on Channel 3.  I live only a few miles from their towers and there is too much interference on my TVs when using the RF output of my XiD-P cable box when is is set to Channel 3.

Can someone tell me how to change the XiD-P box's RF output from Channel 3 to Channel 4?

PS. don't suggest using the HDMI output as I have external equipment that requires RF

... how to change the XiD-P box's RF output from Channel 3 to Channel 4 ...

I do not know if the XiD-P can be switched to channel 4, but note that KWY-TV hasn't broadcast on physical VHF channel 3 (60-66MHz) since the digital transition in 2009. It actually transmits on UHF channel 30, which is a frequency above 500MHz (see https://publicfiles.fcc.gov/tv-profile/kyw-tv, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KYW-TV#Analog-to-digital_conversion, and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Television_channel_frequencies).

Thanks for the info about the broadcast frequency changes -- I had forgotten about that.  Perhaps some other service is now using those old VHF channels.

Hey, @user_5f4ea4! I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with using the box on channel 3. Having a look into the XiD-P, it doesn't look like there is a way to change the RF from channel 3 to 4. I had a look into the settings as well and was not able to see anything there either. In this case, you may need to purchase a RF Modulator RCA Coaxial Adapter that can force everything to channel 4 so you no longer get that interference from the broadcast station.

Thank you for looking into this issue for me.  Does Comcast have another X1 cable box (other than the XiD-P) that has both RF output and the ability to change from channel 3 to 4?  If so, maybe I can just swap out the cable box.

You are welcome. Having a look into the other X1 boxes, though they do have the RF connection, doesn't look like the option to go to channel 4 is available on any of them. This was probably phased out due to the information that @BruceW has provided.
