Xid boxes picture freeze

Hello, Here is my senerio...I have a x1 dvr xgtv4 box and 4 xid boxes. All was working perfect until I decided to give the xi6 wireless 4k boxes a try. Didn't like those so I swapped them back out to what I had the xid's. Hooked them up and ever since every box is freezing up loss of audio etc. Called Comcast and they have no clue. DVR is working fine, just the xid boxes are causing issues that I can't watch tv on those. Get errors everytime I turn on those boxes to restart all. I haven't changed anything in my home. Before I did the swap all was working perfectly! I am at wits end now as comcast support has no clue. I have reset, system re-fresh, etc... Again main DVR is fine but just the xid boxes freeze up every 3-5 minutes. Signal is great into home, internet is perfect. I need help!

Thanks

They, (tech and supervisor) checked the inside wiring with a meter in my home run room and all outlets including the commscope zero gain amp. All checked out perfect. They did find a "phantom" box serial number on my account as the last DVR was not removed from the account and said that was causing issues.  Also got two of the new Gen 2 Xfi pods installed to connect to the 5Ghz band. We dont usually record more than 2 shows or watch 2 tv's at a time and the wireless boxes are easy to hid behind tv's as we have the HDMI and Plugs in a module behind each tv. Thanks for your help and Happy New Year!

Try unplugging all, plug in the dvr and one by one plug in the others. Check that moca on your gateway is turned off
FYI, have 4 XiD reduces your recording ability. Swap an XiD for an XG2

Hello, Tried what you said and to no avail! DVR works great but all 4 xid boxes freeze up and I get the Restart all message at times on whatever xid box i'm watching. I went to the xb6 gateway settings and there is a red X at the top menu for Moca but when I check moca in the menu it says enabled. I disabled it but after saving it goes right back to enabled but the moca icon is still red out as it always had been. Service is +2.1db coming into the home. There is a POE moca filter at the tap which I just noticed with a blue sticker that has 70 and required for multi room dvr printed in the band. I think I'm just going back to wireless xi6 now or to AT&T as I can't spend much more time on this anymore!

Have you used the main box to see if your cable outlets are live

Hi, yes tried that and all outlets are "live". Tech came out today and was here most of the day. Ran a new RG11 drop to my home, installed a "70" blue band Moca filter at the POE. Replaced three xid boxes with xi5's (wireless) and replaced the DVR (4k). Also replaced the XB6 gateway with the new XB7. All seems to be working now. Signal into home is now +3.8db. Crossing my fingers!

So basically going back to wireless boxes, the tech couldn’t figure out your interior wiring? Having so many satellite boxes takes away the amount of recordings you can make simultaneously. It was never the signal coming into your house but the communication internally in your house. Hopefully it continues to work for you
