Xi6-T box
Hello I received the xi6-T box for 4k streaming. It said to return equipment but I still have the x1 for DVR. It is hooked up directly to my tv with a cable. Is the xi6-t box just supplemental? Is there a reason to return my x1 box? I am assuming th xi6 doesnt have dvr capabilities so I'm just a bit confused on what equipment xfinity expects me to return

Thank you for reaching out to us @user_ivuo0f! While the Xi6 can schedule and manage recordings, it is not a DVR. Were you wanting to watch X1, have a DVR, and watch 4k all in one box? It sounds like we may need to swap the current DVR and the Xi6 for our XG1v4.

XG1v4 would be the box to get if you want a local DVR and a coax connection.

You get cloud DVR with both 4K boxes. The wired XG1v4 has additional local storage and more tuners for simultaneous recording. The WiFi Xi6 does Dolby Vision while the XG1v4 tops out at HDR10.
