Xi6-A Box Cannot Turn Vizio TV Off

I recently got Xi-6A box and when I press the power button on the xfinity remote or my vizio tv remote to turn my tv off, the tv will automatically turn back on after a few seconds. This only happens when the cable box is hooked up to the tv. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have checked to ensure the CEC setting on the tv is set to disabled.
