Xi6 Issues (or maybe just Quirks)

I'm having 3 "minor" issues with the Xi6 that just seem should have simple solutions. I say "minor" because I've found workarounds to them but there has to be a better way.

Any advise is appreciated on any or all of them.

I have an Xi6 connected to a SONY STR-DH590 receiver connected to a Samsung QN65Q60RAFXZA 4K TV.

(1) The first issue is when I pause a program for a few minutes that I previously recorded, then press the play button, the playback starts for a minute or two then switches to live TV (as if I pressed EXIT but I didn't).  If I resume the playback from the menu of recorded programs, it starts where it was originally paused from (interestingly not from where it switched off to live TV) and plays normally for there forward with no more glitches unless I pause it again.  This is an annoyance in that I can't pause a recorded program without going through this hassle to resume.

Relating to (2) below, I've tried all of the on/off permutations of HDMI-CEC on all 3 devices with no apparent change.

I don't use the TV speakers, only the speakers connected to the receiver.

(2) The second issue:

(a) If I turn the TV off, after a few seconds, the receiver sound (speakers) goes off.  This is fine and could be considered normal operation but (b) and (c) below are certainly not normal.

With my previous XG1 cable box, I initially experienced the same thing and wanted the receiver sound to remain on even after the TV was off (I'd use the receiver MUTE to turn sound off when I wanted).  I was able to keep sound on after turning the TV off by setting HDMI-CEC to OFF in Device Settings/Power Preferences on the XG1 but for the Xi6 this same menu option doesn't seem to work to keep the receiver speakers on.

So if I turn the TV off for a minute or so, the sounds goes off after a few seconds and if I and turn the TV back on back on within 5 minutes or so, I get sound and picture as expected.  Again, this certainly could be considered normal operation.

(b) BUT if I turn the TV off, after a few seconds the sound goes off, then if I leave it off for 10 minutes or so or longer and turn it back on, I get picture but NO SOUND.  To get sound I have to switch inputs on my receiver e.g., to my DVD then back to the input with the Xi6 and then I get sound. Not a big deal but an annoyance.

(c) Same as (b) if I turn the TV off, after a few seconds the sound goes off but if I leave the TV off for hours and then turn it back on, I get NO SOUND and NO PICTURE.  It this situation, the switching inputs of (b) doesn't give me sound or picture.  Interestingly, when I say "no picture", no programming picture; if I press the Xfinity button I do get the menu with a black background and even more interesting, I discovered that if I choose play a recorded program, both picture and sound appear for the previously recorded program then when I EXIT the playback, the live TV now has picture and sound.

As I said, these are hassles not major problems but any ideas to address any of them would be appreciated.

I am getting this (c) with My Xi6. Different configuration. xFinity Gigabit, Netgear Blackhawk CM2050 Modem, Eero routers, Ethernet CAT6e wired through out the home.

Xi6 HDMI to 4k Onyko TX-SR393 to 4k Sony XBR-55850D. If everything is off for a day or so, no picture or sound. With occasional "XRE-10007" error. All other HDMI inputs function. Blue Ray/Apple TV/ Roku. Live Antenna TV ok. If I select guide or xfinity button the menu and guide appear. Only electing a recording and starting to play does the picture and sound return. Then if stopping the recording, guide is functioning as it should with live xfinity TV channels working as it does on the main XG1v4 DVR.

Un-plugging (hard restart) the Xi6 or a menu restart does not fix the no sound/picture issue. My guess it is a firmware issue. Perhaps Comcast can push out an update soon that will fix this issue. (perhaps a power saving setting issue?)

When it works, it's great! Clear 4k HD picture and Dolby 5-1 Surround...all functionality like the main XG1v4
