XG2v2-P is so slow... should I ask for an upgrade?
My XG2v2-P is VERY slow. Pressing buttons on the remote is a 5-9 second lag particularly for streaming apps. Different streaming channels are so laggy they can't be watched (especially paramount). For example, I can run the Paramount app on my phone in the same area as my XG2v2-P and it works well.
I've tried the following: restarted the Xfinity router, unplugged the XG2v2-P for a while and plugged it back in. The XG2v2-P is about 20 feet from the router and other wireless devices work well in the same area. I don't have the ability to use a wired connection to the XG2v2-P.
Is there a way to check the wireless signal in the XG2v2-P?
What else can I do?
Is there a more current version of this box that would be faster and have the same services (DVR, etc.) as my current box?

@marklyn Good morning! Thank you for reaching out to our Community Forums Team for assistance with your TV box. Having a lag can be frustrating, especially when you are trying to enjoy watching your TV. I appreciate you sharing the steps you have tried on your end. I would be happy to check the signals on my end, and see what the next best step is going to be for a resolution. To get started, can you please send a Direct Message with your name, and service address?
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon at the top of the page (looks like a text bubble)
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
