XG2v2-P cable box is not turning on

I just got a cable box from the xfinity store and it won’t turn on when I plug it in. Not sure if there is an issue with the box itself or the power cord. I have used several different outlets, all of which work. But when I try to hit the power button on the cable box, the thin light on the side does not turn on.

Thank you for joining us here in the Xfinity Support Forums. I wanted to touch base and see if your issue had been resolved. While we cannot mail out individual power cables, we can mail out a new XG2 kit which would include the equipment, remote, and cables to get started. Otherwise, equipment can also be exchanged in person at any of our service centers.

@user_3d22b7 Hi there, sorry to learn about the cable box not turning on. Have you tried to restart it or us the MyAccount app to help with troubleshooting? 

I no longer work for Comcast.

Same issue here, just got back form the store and "new" cable box will not turn on
