XG1V4 Setup procedure

Just thought I'd put this out there to save you the pain I went through with the tech support person.

 

I just got the new box and the first thing it asks is to select language. Hit the button on the remote and nothing. It wasn't paired.

 

I have the xr15 remote that doesn't have a setup button. You need to do this:

 

Hold down A. While holding down A, hold down D. The light will change to solid green I believe. Enter 981 and it should work after that.

 

Tech support had me pairing to my TV, entering bogus codes, changing batteries, and finally suggesting that they send another remote! They were WAY too chatty as well. Just help me with the issue. I don't care what you had for lunch.
