XG1v4 Cable Box requires Xfinity Modem???
I tried to call support this AM to request the 4k cable box. I have both cable and internet with Xfinity but I do use my own modem for internet purposes.
Anyways, I called this AM and the rep told me that they could not upgrade the box because I use my own modem? Is that true or is there anyways around this?

The XG1v4 box can work without a gateway at all, and for wireless boxes, they are updated and you can now use them on your own modem.

In short, the 4K DVR is available to be used with a personal gateway, but the 4K wireless box does require a leased gateway.
