XG1V4 Box Reset at Night Changes Resolution from 1080p to 720p

Been noticing when my main 4K DVR box resets at night it changes the resolution from 1080p to 720p.  Then I reset the resolution to 1080p and is good for the day. Sometimes I have to do it with my TV turned off for the change to occur as there is some green flashing on the screen (whenever I change the resolution up or down). Noticed this the past couple weeks but may have been going on for awhile. Definitely changes at night when box resets. I've seen that this issue has occurred previously in previous years and a firmware update usually is what resolves it.

Mine does this all the time, just started sometime in February 2020. Very annoying. The first year I owned the xg1v4 it never did this. Now every day. 😞

I have an XG1v4 and it's set to 4K and has never changed on its own.

Any word from Comcast as to why this is happening? Mine does the same thing. Also, I've noticed very jerky/stuttering playback on Acorn TV...

to determine the problem you might try some experiments and see at what point this change happens. Also, do you have the power save feature turned off? when TV is on, unplug the set top box (if it is a DVR do it while not recording). after three minutes plug the sdet top back in. when the set top box finishes booting up did the resolution stay in 1080p?
