XG1 + Google Chromecast

Am I able to connect a Google Chromecast directly to the HDMI input on the back of an XG1 box? I ask because my TV doesn't have HDMI-CEC and so would need to manually switch the input each time, whereas ideally I can leave the TV's input to the X1 box and stream Chromecast to the same input.
