Xfinity refuses to help after upgrade in the area

My cable is snowy since Monday night, they are sending someone out Friday.

I want credit for this downtime of my service. I am a long, long time customer and they keep insisting I check my cables and restart my box. I have and it is not fixing the problem. I have a xg2v2-p box, and they admitted they upgraded something in my area. This caused a problem communicating with my box.....but they won't do anything!

How do I get a credit and probably a newer box, to fix this problem?

I have spent 3 hours of my time already trying to get help, and they have not helped only stuck to the SCRIPT, RESTART, CHECK CABLES, ETC.

Where is the real customer service and help for the customer after 40 years of loyalty?

I want a credit for non usable services and a replacement box.
