Xfinity Gray Weatherproof Box

Hi All!

I just recently moved into a new house that was prerun for coaxial cable, which all terminates in the garage. When Xfinity was here, they installed a gray weatherproof box on the outside of my house to connect the cables. I would love to acquire another one of these boxes for the inside of the garage so that I may clean up the bundle of coaxial cable that is nailed to the wall with clips. Does anyone know if Xfinity would potentially provide me with a second weatherproof box? I looked at Lowes and they didn't really have one that was large enough and the one that Xfinity used I think would be a perfect size but I am having trouble locating where to get one. Kind of wishing I would have asked the tech to leave a spare while he was here.

water/weather-proof is not normally needed when in a garage/carport. Three boxes are listed below. normally Comcast will bring one cable  to the point you describe, and put in an AC powered zero gain splitter to connect the coax cables.

I have a plastic exterior xfinity box on my house.  Found it open with green wire disconnected and hanging there.  What should I do.  Should it have a lock on it?

Hey there, not necessarily is a lock required on the box. How are your services? If they are impacted then we may need to get someone out there but if the door is just open then shutting it is fine so long as your services are working right.
