Xfinity Dolby auto detect and expert mode not proccessing correctly
I've been reading a lot of post discriping the same issue I'm having for more than a year. Setting the X1 digital cable box to Dobly sound to my Denon AVR causes all kinds of audio issues. Lost channels, missing audio, it just sounds [Edited: "Language"]. And the Stereo setting is no better. All the post say it's comcast not proccessing the audio correctly. Has anyone with this issue ever got a fix?
I've been searching for months and I haven't found anyone who had the problem found a solution. Except switching providers. Not an options here.
Please if anyone found a solution let me know.
Thanks

Which model box? I have an XG1v4 and don't have any real audio issues. The cable box is connected to the AV receiver (Onkyo) with HDMI. There are some issues where, at least in Expert mode, it sometimes 'converts' 2.0 to 5.1. Most AV receivers will not do any surround processing if they see 5.1, so the audio only comes out the two main speakers.

I am having audio issues with my XG1v4. I swapped boxes and that didn't solve it.
I run a Sonos Playbar Connected via Optical Connection.
I get audio pops and static during certain dialog. Almost as if the audio is being sent too hot.
I have found no solution. It only occurs on real cable channels. Streaming and On demand are flawless through the box.
My bar only supports Dolby Digital 5.1.
I don't even. See an option for that so I have switched between Expert Mode and Auto.
Funny thing, is I can replay the audio issues on the DVR or other boxes in the house.
Also, during NFL games I get audio drops on NBC.
