XFINITY’ display clock

I just exchanged my dvr for a new one. They are the same model with the clock display. Unfortunately, the clock display is so dim I can’t even see the time. Even in the dark. I checked the settings. It goes from 1-3. I have it on 3 which is supposed to be the brightest setting. It doesn’t make any difference. I need and want it bright like my previous. What’s the point of a display click if you can’t read or see it? Thank you.
