xfinity box trying to turn on my sony tv randomly on its ownj.

My cable box seems to be trying to turn on my TV on its own.  

My TV will be off, and the cable box will randomly make the same clicking sound it makes when I turn the TV on, except that no one is touching the remote. This only happens when the TV is off. I live alone, so it is not from someone else.  I live in a condo, and the wall with the TV is against is my neighbors bedroom; i've checked with him and he is not turning on his bedroom unit.  This has only started happening about the time I bought a new TV, a Sony. That is the only connection I have made.

I did get a new cable box about a year or so ago, but this happened with the old and with the new.  This is starting to really get annoying, to just be sitting and reading and having this click go on at random times.  Any advice on how to fix?
