XB8-T causing tiling on TV

I'm not sure if this problem should be posted here or in the Internet forum. I'll try again is this is the wrong place.

We have been having serious tiling issues with our cable TV and after tightening everything have tracked it down to the XB8-T gateway which we installed maybe 6 months ago. When we disconnect the gateway, the problem goes away. Looking around online, it seems this has been a problem with this gateway for several years. I'm up for any suggestions for resolving this. Will replacing the gateway make a difference? Is the XB10 available in our area? The TV has become unwatchable recently. Help is much appreciated!

Hello, @Shessar thanks for sharing your experience in this post. The issue could be the modem and swapping it out is one possible resolution. The issue could also be a signal quality issue. How is your internet service working in your home?

Thanks for responding! Internet is fine, streaming is fine. It is just cable TV that has a problem and we noticed that if one of us is watching cable TV and someone else is online, the TV pixelates/tiles even worse. There seems to be some sort of signal interference from the gateway to the cable box. This started when we got the new gateway, but has become progressively worse with time. Should we replace both gateway and box? Again, any thoughts on what steps to take would be welcome.

I don't know if replacing the gateway will necessarily fix this issue. But we will want to run some tests. Are the gateway and TV box connected to the same outlet via a splitter?

Yes they are connected to the incoming line via a splitter. They are located on different floors. Gateway is in the basement, cable box on the first floor in the living room. I doubt if location has anything to do with it.

Gotcha. Does the pixelation impact all the channels or only specific ones?
