X1v3 recording time
Have an Arris cable box (x1v3 I think) with 150 hours of HD storage. This is properly reflected when I check the Xfinity settings on my TV (9% full with around 15 hours of saved shows). According to the Xfinity website, I should be able to record up to six shows at once.
However, when I attempted to record a third show, in addition to two previously scheduled recordings with overlapping times, the Xfinity sw indicated that it would cancel the two scheduled recordings if I recorded the third. So I did accept that, went back to the two canceled shows and changed the canceled settings back to record. All three shows were recording, although initially when I attempted to play the football game (the third recording) it said there was a problem with the recording and it could not play it. Trying to view it a second time, it did play.
When I spoke to Xfinity today, they were insistent I could only record 20 hours total and 2 shows at once and suggested that I could buy additional color storage.
So there is a definite disconnect between the equipment I have and the recording Xfinity software. Has anyone else experienced this?
