X15 remote backlight

My X15 remote backlight comes on when the remote is moved but then goes out instantly. In a dark room this is essentially useless.
How can I change the timing of the backlight to stay on for up to 5 seconds or so?

Thank you for reaching out to express your concerns about the backlight on the XR15 remote. From what you are explaining, it sounds like the backlight is functioning as intended, but we do value all customers' feedback and will be glad to take this into consideration for future changes.

Currently, the backlight is designed this way to help conserve battery power by only using the light while the remote is in use. If the light goes out before you are able to input your selection, a slight movement should bright the light back on, and once you start hitting buttons the light should stay on until you are done.

Please let us know if you are having a different experience than this, and we will be glad to take a look at things in more detail.
