X1 Search History Disappeared
I noticed that some of the items in my X1 search history have disappeared. This has occurred even though I have not cleared them myself and I also have not exceeded the 12 search limit after which the oldest items get deleted one at a time. Rather, it appears that the four oldest items disappeared all at once, leading me to believe that there is some time-based expiration. However, when I called Xfinity customer service, the agent was unaware of any time limit after which X1 searches disappear. Even more strangely, the items must still be recorded somewhere since On Demand is providing me with recommendations which are based on some of the missing searches. Is there any explanation for what happened, as well as a possible way to see what the missing searches are?

Hi there, @moleemolee! Thanks for reaching out with your question about the X1 search history. I am sorry those are not showing and understand it is a very easy way to get back to searches and programs you were checking out before. I do not see this as a known issue. I also do not know of a time limit on the history.
Being an X1 user myself I have noticed that when the programming changes the Network, station, or app it is on that can affect the search history and have also seen after an update some things may not show anymore from time to time, but I am not sure if that is what happened in this instance. Once the history is gone, there is no way of seeing what the searches were. You would need to search for the same things again to get the list built back up to where you want it.
Have you only seen this happen once or has it happened multiple times?
