X1 Primary box and secondary box
When I unplug my X1 box upstairs in my bedroom, the X1 box downstairs in livingroom also turns off?
Is this because X1 in my bedroom is the main?
If so, how do I get that fixed? I want the main box in the living room.
Thanks in advance!!

Thank You CCAndrew. So, your saying all I need to do, is unplug both boxes and take the one from my bedroom, down to the living room and bring the one in the livingroom to my bedroom? And my issue will be resolved?

I will try that for sure. Does Xfinity no longer do live chat? I mean live chat with a real agent. Not that stupid automated chat thing.

If the do
You will probably have to physically swap them. If the downstairs box has no tuners it won't work without the primary box being powered on. Also, if the upstairs box is a DVR you'll want it powered on to make recordings.
