X1 feature request?

Is there any official place to add feature requests for the X1 systems?

It would be a great feature if you could have one box keep itself in sync with what another one is displaying so you could go to another room and back while another person is pausing, skipping commercials, starting the next show, etc. and not accidentally ruin the plot when the other room is ahead.  We took staying in sync for granted back in the days when live tv was all you could watch, but that seems uncivilized now.

Just record and access that recording when you move around. Other than that, there probably isn’t a great need for that feature

You’re expecting way too much communication between devices. In almost 10 years of X1 you’re the first to suggest. When all you have to do is press record and you can access where you want and the other person is fine, or they can access the recording where they want.

I think you are missing the point of having two or more people watching the same thing at the same time.  Except not glued to the same room for the whole time.

For example we start watching a recorded show together, then I go for a while to a different room with some workout equipment but want to keep watching and be in the same place in the show when I come back - so it needs to match pauses, commercial skips, etc.   Or when that show ends and my wife starts another.

Most of the time what I want is to not have to fast forward the commercials myself when watching recordings.  Before getting the X1s I used to use a slingbox in another room to keep in sync with what my wife was watching.  But it needed component connections and started having power supply problems so I gave up on that.   Whole-house HDMI wiring would work but it's too expensive for me.

i think this is a brilliant idea. just like music systems playing in sync throughout the house, to be able to sync video playback would be some truly next level stuff!

Would it be possible to add the day to the date on the top left corner of the channel guide?
