X1 DVR Box Freezing

My dvr box kept freezing overnight on reboot.  I exchanged it but am still having the same issue.  I have to unplug it every morning then wait a half hour for it to come back.  Since the new box two days ago I also have to go through the complete setup, usually twice because the first time it says my remote is not working.   It is on a splitter with my internet, so I did get a new splitter and connected that this morning.  If that does not work should I try this box in a different room?  I think I will probably require a tech to come out but want to check everything inside first.
