X1 cable boxes show no DVR recordings

Subject: X1 boxes show "no recordings" even though Xfinity can see them (3 new boxes, same issue)

Hi, I need help with a Cloud DVR problem that has not been fixed after multiple support calls.

Problem: When we open Saved/Recordings on our X1 boxes, they say we have no recordings. Xfinity support can see our recordings on their end. If we unplug the boxes and plug them back in, sometimes it takes up to five tries, and then the recordings finally show up. Later they disappear again.

What we've already done:
- Called Xfinity multiple times; they say they can't find a problem
- Replaced all three cable boxes with new ones in June of this year
- All three new boxes do the exact same thing, so this is not tied to one box
- Repeated power cycling (the only thing that temporarily helps)

Since the recordings are visible on Xfinity's side and the problem follows us across three brand new boxes, I believe this is an account/Cloud DVR provisioning issue, a signal problem at our home, or a service issue in our area, not a hardware problem.

What I'm asking for:
1. A Tier 2 escalation to re-provision my Cloud DVR service on the account
2. A check of signal levels at each box and a technician visit if needed
3. Confirmation of whether other customers in my area are reporting this
4. A ticket number and a name for follow-up

I shouldn't have to unplug my boxes repeatedly to access recordings I'm paying for. Please have someone from the team look at the backend and contact me.

this is becoming quite frustrating on one of my calls. I was told by the lady on the phone that if it doesn’t stay fixed this time, me and my team has decided it may just be something you have to live with my Cable bill is over $460 this month after this month it’s going back down to 390. It’s because we added a Stream service but still $390 a month and I can’t even watch my shows the Xfinity stream app that thing is a joke. It doesn’t even work right half the time it’s just as bad as the boxes themselves not having the recordings.

is there any other Xfinity customer out there already had this issue that can lead me in the right direction when I called this morning to try to get them to try to fix this one more time they try to sell me a plan that will cover any wires inside the house and outside the house. Why should we have to pay for any wires outside of the house

this is the last thing I’m gonna try. Is this forum to see if anybody else on here may have already went through this before I just take all my boxes back and go with a different service.

user_ey1nnd Hi, thanks for reaching out and providing meticulous details, so the Community can understand the concern. We can certainly understand how frustrating it would be to see "No Recordings" on your X1 boxes when you know the recordings are still on the account. Since our tools show that the recordings are still present, and they temporarily reappear after rebooting the boxes, this appears to be a synchronization issue between the X1 equipment and your Cloud DVR library rather than lost recordings. The fact that all three replacement boxes are experiencing the same behavior also suggests the issue may be account-related rather than a problem with a specific TV box. We would like to further investigate the DVR synchronization and equipment status on the account. This may require additional troubleshooting, refresh signals, and review of the DVR configuration associated with your X1 services. Please send us a Direct Message, so we can gather your account details.
