X1 Box killed my TV

I've had a Xfinity box running on my 75" tv since fall 2016 and never had an issue. When I agreed to a new 2-year plan in August 2020, they sent me new boxes. The new main DVR box worked fine for a few months and then the video started flickering or would not show up at all. I thought it may be the HDMI cords or the inputs on the TVs - but when I unplugged the HDMI from the xfinity box and into other devices, it worked fine. I ended up having the xfinity box replaced three times, each time it worked fine for a few weeks and then eventually no signal to the TV. Suddenly, the input board on my TV dies and it is now unusable. I then grabbed another TV in the house that has had an adapter tv box plugged in (without any issues) and plugged the main DVR box into it.  It immediately started flickering just like my 75" inch before it died. I've called comcast so many times about this and they have never been able to resolve the core issue. I've probably been able to watch TV on that main box <10% since the newest 2 year agreement. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm giving advanced technical support one last time to resolved this or I'm cancelling TV services and will stream YoutubeTV.

(The last agent offered me free STARZ channels to compensate me for my $4,000 TV dying as a result of their faulty box. Thanks Comcast!)

Hello @user_58a83b and thank you for posting to our forums. In this instance, we would file a damage claim for personal property where a member of our executive support team would be assigned to your case. We'd also ideally send a technician out to investigate a possible signal issue, as it's been a recurring issue now with multiple devices. When you have a moment, could you start a peer-to-peer chat with us so we can start the damage claim process?

1. In the top right corner, you'll see a little chat icon. Click this "Peer to peer chat" icon or follow  https://comca.st/3uQbkld
2. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
3. In the 'To' line, type "Xfinity Support" there. A drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list (an "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line)
4. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
5. Press Enter to send it. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond.

Please include your name, the account holder name as it appears on the account (if different), and the current service address.

Additionally, please include any and all details regarding the incident and your TV, including dates and times (as best you can). All this information will be included on the claim for review.

Hello, I wonder how this case ended. It happened to me that my 65'' inch tv just died (no screen, no led, no sound, nothing). I took it to a repair store, and the day after they told me that the Comcast box burnt it (I never told them that I had a Comcast service). They assured me that the there was a short in the HDMI port, that happened to be the one used by the X1 box. So far, the TV has not been repaired because the part is not easy to find, and now, after reading posts like this, I fear to connect this box again to any tv. This is definitely something that you wouldn't expect: the cable box killing your very expensive tv!!!
