X1 audio output not working with Sony soundbar

I can no longer get audio output from my X1 to my Sony soundbar via HDMI. I can also no longer pair the remote with the soundbar in the X1 settings. IIRC, it used to automatically recognize my soundbar was a Sony. I can however get the remote to recognize my tv which is also a Sony. If I turn off the soundbar the audio from the X1 comes through the TV speaker just fine (through coax). Also, I am getting audio on my soundbar on another source (Apple TV), so I don’t think the soundbar is the issue. Finally, I have tried connecting another HDMI cable from the X1 to the soundbar and I’m still getting the same result of no audio. This starting happening tonight and I was getting audio to the soundbar from the X1 last night.

I have unpaired and re-paired the remote no I have reset the X1 multiple times.

Any help is appreciated.

verifying your setup. your TV's HDMI ARC/eARC port has an HDMI cable connected from there to your soundbar's ARC/eARC port?
