X1 and Samsung TV

I have the latest X1 DVR box and the latest remotes.  For about the last two months, the remote does not function properly unless the DVR box is rebooted.  The box has to be rebooted every time I want to watch TV.  Once rebooted, everything works fine until the TV is turned off.  Then the remote does not function properly unless the box is rebooted.  I've has two Comcast technicians come to my house and neither can find anything wrong.  The DVR box and the remote have been replaced three times.  As a last resort before cancelling Comcast, I connected a different TV to the X1 box.  Everything works fine!

Here is the question:  Since my 55 " Samsung TV is more than 10 years old is there a problem with the X1 box connecting to older TV's?  I hate to have to purchase a new TV, but I can not live with the frustration of rebooting the box at least daily.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I tried it, but it is still the same.
