X1 4K HDCP Error

XG1v4 DVR.  This has now happened three times in the last week or so.  I try to go to one of the 4K channels (1354-57, 1390-91) and get an error message saying there's an HDCP error.  Restarting the X1 box clears the error.  This is a box I've been using error-free for 4K for a couple of years.  I watched the World Series game in 4K last night, then I had to restart the box again this morning.

Time for World Series game 2.  Went to the pregame show on 1355.  No error message, but no HDR!  Restarting the box got HDR back.   Irritating.

Hello, @BIslander sounds like it may be time for a replacement but I would also like to review that TV box's connection. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? To send a direct message:

1. In the top right corner, you'll see a little chat icon near the bell icon. Click the direct message icon

2. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

3. In the 'To' line, type "Xfinity Support" there. A drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list (an "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line)

4. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

5. Press Enter to send it. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond. Thanks!

UPDATE:

Xfinity sent a signal to the X1 box a few days ago and that seemed to fix things.

However... a few days later, world series game 7. TV was on having watched a 4K HDR football game earlier. Went to 1355 and no HDR.

This time, instead of restarting the X1, I went to the video setting. It said it was set to Best Available 4K 60 HDR. I changed it to a different setting and then changed it back. Now I'm getting HDR.
