Why when I pause a program and then continue to watch it does it randomly jump to Live TV?

When we are watching live TV we will sometimes pause the show to allow us to get past some commercials. Many times lately, while we are watching (and not touching the remote) it will randomly jump to the Live programming. We cannot go backwards from that point and we lose the content in that window of time. Why is this happening and/or is there a setting on our box that we can shut off so it doesn’t keep doing this?

user_mww201, Thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support. That is an excellent question. It depends on a few things. The first thing that comes to mind is how long you are pausing the show. If it is just a brief pause, like 15 minutes or so, to avoid commercials, you should be fine. I have paused for about 30 minutes and have been fine. I would recommend keeping track of the amount of time. If you have more details, let me know.
