Why is my remote so slow?
There is a several second lag time when using my remote. I’ve replaced the batteries, but no change.

Hello, @user_35bb79! I'm sorry to hear about the latency with your remote, especially after trying to change the batteries. We have a few tricks up our sleeve that we can try before looking into getting a new one out to you. Please send me a Message with the full name of the Account Owner and yourself, if different, as well as the full address on file. You can send a message by clicking on the Chat Bubble icon in the upper right corner and search "Xfinity Support." Thanks!

on a smart device run the Xfinity TV remote app. you can use the app like your own remote but it is connected directly to the internet. If it is much faster in response then you know your upstream signal (sent from the set top box to Comcast servers) is not getting a good signal level and that can be fixed. problem can be outside your home to Comcast servers or in the home wiring.

Our X1 system has delay on receiving remote control signals. batteries are fresh. remote control signal is received immediately however there is a major delay on X1 box In addition vent system goes slow subtitles run faster.
I have turned the X1 box off and disconnect the cable however it’s a temporary fix and then goes back to be slow within the next few hours.
What to do?

I have the exact problem. This has been going on for about a month now - no fix.
