Why has the amber LED on my X1 DVR been on recently while watching TV?

During the last few days when watching TV , the amber LED on my DVR comes on and stays on. Any ideas why?

The update to fix this has reached us here in Michigan. The amber light has been off for about a week now. Yay!

The light is finally off here in West Hartford, CT after months of it being on. Comcast must have finally rolled out a software fix. Thanks.
