Why are prices higher for existing customers than for new customers?
Every time my plan contract runs out, I look for an xfinity "deal." But all I see are significantly higher prices. What makes the process of renewing more maddening is that Comcast offers higher prices to long time loyal customers than to new customers. When I call to request a better deal, especially given my loyalty, they just don't care. I realize that those I am speaking to are very limited in what they can do, but try to be transferred to a supervisor. If you manage to do that, they can't help you either. This year I have an alternative. A new company in my town has installed new underground cables and is offering internet and cable TV at a lower price than Comcast. While I would rather just stay with Comcast given the hassling of switching, Comcast is making switching to the new competitor seem more and more appealing.

I have spent about $67000 in my life on Comcast subscriptions but I get charged 30% ish more than a new customer. Shouldnt your reward loyalty? New customers that never spent a penny pay less than someone that has been loyal customer for 25 years
