Which X1 Box used for Older TV - Non HDTV

Parents have a Toshiba 2004 CRT TV which still works fine. Very heavy but pitcure looks good. So its not HDTV only 4:3 SD Screen Square. So comcast hooked up a small Maybe a PACE XID P2 HD Box to  the tv so the Lowest resolution in the X1 settings is 720P which doesn't make sense this like I said this not an HDTV. So the picture on SD channels doesn't fit the screen and when I do use the HD channels they look weird also with 720P resolution. Basically which X1 supports older tv's like No HD?

You can change the picture resolution.

Learn how to manually configure your video display using the Xfinity X1 On-Screen Guide.

Note: Your X1 TV Box will automatically configure to the highest video resolution possible for your TV at setup. If you want to manually change your video display settings after setting up X1, follow the steps below.

Video Display

To access Device Settings:

  1. Press the xfinity button on your remote.
  2. Use the left arrow or right arrow button to highlight Settings (the gear icon). Press OK.
Note: If your remote doesn't have an OK button, press the raised button in the center of the directional pad.
  3. Use the down arrow button to highlight Device Settings. Press OK.
  4. Use the down arrow button to highlight Video Display. Press OK.
  5. Highlight Video Output Resolution. Press OK.
  6. Use the up arrow or down arrow button to pick your desired resolution. Press OK.
  7. Zoom can be toggled between Full and None.
  8. When done, press Exit.
